Job Description
Quality Manager - Future S-train Supporting Systems Project

Do you take pride in delivering quality and compliance for innovative projects in the transportation sector?

Join a team that values high standards and advanced railway solutions.

DSB is looking for a Quality Manager for a key project in the Future S-train programme.

You will ensure quality and compliance across deliveries as part of the FS Supporting Systems (FS SuSy) project, which develops advanced systems for safe and driverless operation.

The role gives you the opportunity to work with both internal and external audits, process development and international standards such as EN50126 and ISO 22163.

Do you want to come on board?

You will be part of the DSB Stars Quality and Safety Team. We are organized as a matrix organization that supports the ongoing procurement projects.

The project will provide the Obstacle Detection System for Platform (ODS-P) along with CCTV, call points, emergency stop buttons and SCADA systems with alarms.

You will collaborate across technical professional groups and help ensure quality and safety in the implementation of solutions that will characterize the driverless S-train network of the future.

The FS programme is a huge, fascinating, world record breaking place. Details that at first glance are simple, might in the end affect several projects and a technical solution more complex than you can imagine.

As a train nerd, I never knew platforms could be this interesting.

The focus on customer experience all while creating the world’s largest open rail system is making me very proud to be a part of it. I hope you will be too!”

Says Oskar, Quality Manager in the Future S-train programme.

About the job

You will be part of the program’s Quality Management Team and work with a wide range of tasks, all of which contribute to maintaining and optimizing the quality of the project – both internally and externally.

On a typical day, you start by reviewing documentation from suppliers to ensure compliance to the applicable standards such as EN50126, ISO 9001, and ISO 22163.

Afterwards, you have a meeting with the project team where you go through the quality management processes and ensure that they are followed correctly.

Before the day ends, you follow up on unfinished non-conformities and prepare reports with proposed solutions.

Your most important tasks

  • Conduct documentation reviews and ensure compliance with relevant internal and external standards.
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits, verify non-conformities, and oversee corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain quality procedures, supplier guidelines, and Quality Gates documentation for the project.
  • Lead monthly supplier meetings and follow up on obligations, deliverables, and action items internally and externally.

What qualifications does the job require?

You are inspired by maintaining quality and standards in complex projects, with your contributions creating value.

You thrive on performing audit, collaborating with different teams and solving challenges, whether on your own or in collaboration with colleagues.

You have an analytical approach to your work and the ability to stay focused on the details while maintaining an overview. You have minimum 10 years of experience in quality management in a large organization.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Experience with audits, preferably as a lead auditor.
  • Experience from larger international programs or projects.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, ISO 22163, EN50126, and ISO 9001.
  • Good technical skills and fluent English, both written and spoken.

What can DSB offer you?

  • Free transportation with DSB
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home a few days a week
  • Access to DSB’s gym and attractive DSB discounts, including fitness centers
  • Pension plan and health insurance
  • Subsidized lunch scheme and the opportunity to buy food to take home
