In our IT Security Department, 19 specialists protect critical Danish infrastructure by reducing vulnerabilities and safeguarding the systems DSB and our customers rely on.
We are based at DSB’s headquarters in Høje Taastrup, Denmark.
Our skills cover Governance, Risk & Compliance, IT Security Architecture, and Security Operations.
Our Security Operations Center team protects critical systems and infrastructure by detecting, analyzing, and responding to security threats across DSB.
The team consists of six colleagues from France, Cyprus, Portugal, the UK, and Denmark. Our diverse backgrounds and perspectives create a collaborative and inspiring work environment.
Over the next three years, we will expand our monitoring and security coverage across DSB's IT landscape. This calls for collaboration, technical insight, and strategic focus, and you will be key in making it happen.

What will you be doing?
Over the next three years, we will expand monitoring and security coverage across DSB’s IT landscape.
As SOC Team Lead, you will help shape the direction of the area while combining practical incident handling with suggesting and implementing improvements to help the SOC team.
You will coordinate closely with our external Managed Detection and Response partner, who provides first-line monitoring and response, and ensure that incidents are prioritized and handled effectively.
A typical day might start with a coffee and a discussion with a team member about a tricky incident.
You may run a tabletop exercise to test and hone our incident response capabilities.
After lunch, you’ll provide sparring in a 1:1 session with a team member, followed by a meeting with one of our operational security suppliers about incident handling and adjustment of alerting rules.
Before you leave you engage in improving a workflow, a log source or runbook together with the team.
Every Friday, you will meet with security analysts and architects to share knowledge and plan upcoming activities.
Other responsibilities include
- Defining the SOC roadmap and strategy
- Planning and delivering security training
- Providing technical sparring to the team and other parts of the organization
- Contributing to tenders, ISO audits and supplier follow-ups when needed
Are you our new SOC Team Lead?
You are an experienced SOC Engineer with deep technical knowledge and an aspiration to step into a team leadership role.
Even if you have not previously been responsible for coordinating others’ work, you are motivated to guide and develop colleagues and help build a solid, well-functioning SOC team.
In your daily work, you thrive on combining operational responsibilities with strategic decision-making in a technical and complex environment.
You respond to challenging situations with a steady approach and take pride in creating clarity and direction.
You have experience with
- Working in a SOC or similar security environment for at least three years
- Operational security work and analysis, supported by a solid technical understanding and a willingness to learn and develop
- Working in an IT company, a large organization with in-house IT, or a consultancy
Your qualifications and background include
- The ability to communicate clearly with both colleagues and external partners
- A motivating and supportive approach to working with others
- A degree in computer science, engineering, IT architecture or a similar field

Recruitment Process
If you progress, you can expect two interviews. The final one comprises a behavioral profile, an analytical test, and a case study.
